Computer & Business Classes

What is digital literacy? Digital literacy is the capability to use a variety of different technologies to communicate, access and interact with the wider community. This means you can use a computer, tablet or smart phone to Email, Blog, Twitter or manage Facebook. You can find and filter information on websites, bank online and purchase online. These processes have become imperative to our participation in the world today, both at home and at work. Our success now and in the future depends on our ‘digital literacy’ to the same degree that we need to be able to read and write. The new technology has brought new pitfalls for the unwary. One must learn to avoid spam and scams, protect one’s privacy and assess the merit of the vast amount of information available. One needs sufficient skill to be able to adjust to each new program, platform or appliance as it appears. Certainly the digital world is one of constant change.

Our four stage program is designed to give you the IT skills to function at home and at work, competently and dexterously.
