Membership At Hampton Community Centre
Hampton Community Centre is a not-for-profit neighbourhood house which provides programs and services to the whole community in a welcoming environment. The Centre enjoys the patronage of more than one thousand people a week. HCC is governed by a volunteer Committee of Management so that it remains a reflection of grass roots community needs. You are welcome to join the team and share in this process. By becoming a member you can participate in developing Centre policies and have a voice in conveying community concerns to local government. Membership is open to everyone over the age of eighteen.
Hampton Community Centre Inc (the Centre) has a strong commitment to community education support and empowerment. Our purpose is:
- To benefit the community by developing, fostering and providing facilities for all types of community activities, interest groups and self-help groups.
- To advance community education, through the provision of appropriate programs.
- To promote art and culture in the community.
- To promote community health through lectures, self-help groups, etc.
- To provide opportunities for unemployed people.
- To introduce the community to new pathways for personal development.
- To empower the community.
