Adult Programs at HCC
The selection of courses and activities available in 2010 provides for work skills, health and fitness regimes, fine arts and general educational opportunities. There is certainly something for everyone! Whether you are planning a trip to France and so need to practice your rusty, school French or tackling the problems of climate change in your garden HCC has an appropriate course. If you have a particular interest or learning need that is not provided for in our curriculum, please do email us with your request. Our planning for future semesters relies on community need and so we look forward to hearing from the community.
Computer skills are the new literacy. I would encourage everyone to pursue the full suite of Beginners, Continuing and Publisher, Powerpoint courses. You will also find the Bookkeeping course has many applications. Club treasurers, home accounts or return to work credentials all benefit from learning bookkeeping.
For those of you reading this page who have not yet experienced the joys of adult education, I urge you to give it a go! You will make new friendships, be stimulated by new learning and gain confidence in your ability to learn and to do. From cookery to computers and gardening to book club there is a world of enjoyable learning available.
